Per-panel ball shift (px) — moves only the ball image, not the seam.
Use to test whether compensating for the simulator's per-rotation
capture shift brings the seam into alignment.

Thompson seam parameters
h(x) = linear + sin(πx/x₀)·Σ bendᵢ·gauss(x/x₀; μᵢ, σ=0.13),
μ = 1/6 … 5/6. Each bend slider bends ONE region of the quarter
(bend1 = near the quarter start … bend5 = near the quarter end) with
near-zero effect on the others. The envelope keeps endpoints fixed for
any values. Own pre-rotation and projection params, independent from
the figure-8 above.
